CelaGuard What is CelaGuard is a broad spectrum monthly spot-on type medication designed for the prevention of hookworms and heartworms, which can be applied on the skin on the back of the neck. It is formulated with Selamectin which has an excellent effect on heartworms and internal and external hookworms. Main Ingredients Selamectin 6% Dosage Form Colorless Spot-on Treatment Indications A. Dogs 1) Prevention and treatment of allergic dermatitis caused by fleas or flea infestations 2) Prevention of heartworm diseases caused by dirofilaria immitis 3) Prevention and treatment of infestations caused by otodectes cynotis parasitized in ears 4) Prevention and treatment of scabies infestations 5) Removal of roundworms 6) Prevention and treatment of lice infestations 7) Prevention of flea infestations in puppies under 7-weeks old when administered to pregnant or nursing dogs 8) Prevention and treatment of tick infestations such as rhipicephalus sanguineus and dermacentor variabilis B. Cats 1) Prevention and treatment of allergic dermatitis caused by fleas or flea infestations 2) Prevention of heartworm diseases caused by dirofilaria immitis 3) Prevention and treatment of infestations caused by otodectes cynotis parasitized in ears 4) Removal of roundworms and hookworms 5) Prevention and treatment of lice infestations 6) Prevention of flea infestations in kittens under 7-week old when administered to pregnant or nursing cats Administration & Dosage After parting the pet¡¯s coat between the scapulas until the skin is visible, apply the proper dosage as specified in the following table directly against the bare skin once a month. (6mg of Selamectin; at a ratio of 0.7ml per 1kg of body weight) For the prevention and treatment of tick infestations in dogs, apply 3 times every other week.
